• The Oak chair came from Chapel-en-le-Frith Church
• This would of been donated to the church
• This is a very early chair and of excellent proportions
• The chair measures 39¼" tall x 20½" wide x 16" seat height
• So named for the fine grade of oak usually used for wainscot paneling
• Wainscot chairs were a popular feature of early 17th-century English households
• The chair has been renovated during it's lifetime
• All work that has been done in the past is of a high standard
