• Originally made for Nettlebed Park in Oxfordshire by the Bromsgrove Guild
• The other famous commision carried out by the Bromsgrove Guild was Buckingham Palace Gates
• Shown below are images of the Lead statue in the Bromsgrove Guild Book, there are also two more images - one showing the statue in the original Bromsgrove Guild order book and another showing the clay model that was first created by Louis Weingartner
• This is undoubtedly the finest item we have ever owned and is possibly the finest Architectural Antique on sale in the UK for the last few years.
• The statue is made of Lead, the plinth is hand carved Portland Stone
• The overall height is 9ft and the base is 3ft square
• The whole item weighs 2.5 tons, the statue is in one part and the plinth is in 4 parts.
