• Linfords Stone masons started out as Robert Bridgeman and Sons in Lichfield in 1879
• The statue is made from Black Veined Alabaster - Very rare
• Black veined alabaster which is the sea cliffs of Watchet in Somerset
• The statue measures - 59" tall and the base is 18" wide x 15" deep
• This statue is one of two statues that we purchased from Linfords Stone Masons Yard in Lichfield
• Linfords yard and contents were sold when the company got into financial trouble
• The statues had stood in the Linfords yard for over 40yrs
• The statue has signs of wear and great patina
• There is damage - See photos below
• The statue weighs around 250kg
• As the back is relatively flat it would suggest that this stood against a wall or in a niche
