- This a lovely batch of salvaged Church Chairs.
- There are 6 diffrent kinds of 'rush seats', some are slighlty taller at the back then others and some have a bit more of a curve on the top rail. Please see photos.
- The seat height measures 17".
- These chairs came from St Wulfram's Church in Grantham.
- The colour/patina/finish of these chairs is just as they came out of the church.
- We reclaimed just over 200 chairs from this Church.
- We can paint your chairs a solid colour, a distressed or a distressed finish - at an additional cost - please call.
- The Church was restored in 1866 by Sir Gilbert Scott and these Chairs would have been commissioned by him.
- Sir George Gilbert Scott was an English Gothic revival architect, chiefly associated with the design, building and renovation of churches and cathedrals, although he started his career as a leading designer of workhouses. He was one of the most prolific architects which Great Britain has produced, over 800 buildings being designed or altered by him.
