• Rare Antique Richard Melvin Garden Circular Slate Sundial
• Original rare circular slate sundial made by Richard Melvin, London.
• The overall size measures: 545mm Diameter x 220mm Tall x 30mm Thick.
• Multi-dial calibrated with a central principal dial with a pierced gnomon calibrated with hours and world cities, flanked by eight subsidiary dials calibrated with countries and signed 'Rd Melvin' maker to the Crystal Palace Co, London'.
• Most of his sundials are in Museums.
• This is very substantial and a true one off.
• Circa 1850.
• It states it is for 51 Deg North - which is Westminster Abbey.
