• Original rare slate sundial made by Richard Melvin, London Circa 1850.
• The overall size measures: 360mm x 355mm x 13mm Thick.
• Richard Melvin at this time was working mainly in Glasgow.
• Most of his sundials are in Museums.
• We have only seen 3 of these in the many years of working in the trade.
• The four corner gnomons are labelled - morning, afternoon, evening and night.
• The one corner of the slate as been broken on the underside - this takes nothing away from this fantastic very rare item.
