• Excellent fully functional working item.
• The patina is excellent.
• Circa 1910.
• The overall measurements are 9 ½" Tall x 6 ½" Base Diameter.
• This is a very rare item.
• Would make a fantastic ornament for an office desk.
• Clearly pictured and stamped on the helio is the NEGRETTI & ZAMBRA LONDON who were a retailer.
• This rotates 360 degree and has a latitude scale.
• Better known as Tropical Helio-Chronometer, this time instrument can be adjusted to latitude and longitude to give an accurate reading in any location.
• This is stamped as Number 892.
• A total of 1000 of these were originally made. Of which only 50 are known to exist today.
• The idea of this device was to provide one product that could be used and is accurate in any location throughout the world.
