- Pair of Wall Mosaics from Middlesbrough Cathedral
- This is a unique pair of mosaics
- The colours and design are excellent
- The mosaics sizes are -
- The left one is 33¼" wide x 94½" tall (mesh size is 36" x 96")
- The right one is 29¾" wide x 94½" tall (mesh size is 32" x 96")
- The Cathedral was destroyed in a blaze on the 30th May 2000
- The mosaics were still intact on a wall
- These were then professionally removed - this was done by boarding either side of the mosaic with thick sheets of plywood, the wall was then removed and the wall was then laid flat with the mosaic sandwiched between the wood. The wall was then carefully cut away from the back of the mosaic, just leaving a fraction of the wall behind the mosaic, layers of fibreglass and resins have been used to bond the rear of the mosaics and to secure them to the mesh frame, this allows them to be moved and stored upright again.
