Fitting your Electric Element to your Carron Cast Iron Radiator
Fitting your Electric Element to your Carron Cast Iron Radiator
Fit your heating element to your cast iron radiator as per the Manufacturer’s
instructions that are included in the box with the element.
Now fill your cast iron radiator ready for use – see the images below
Unscrew the two top end caps- this will reveal a large hole at either end of the radiator.
Fill your Radiator up with the water/glycol mix.
Start filling from the one end like below - slowly so there are no airlocks
When the radiator is full put the bush back on the left side and raise the radiator
at an angle like below and carry on filling slowly so there are no airlocks
You must leave a 2% gap in the radiator to allow for expansion.
Put the bush back on the right hand side and your radiator will look like below
The radiator is now ready for connection to the electrical supply. This must be done by a competent person.
